We will always provide a quote of time required and never exceed that without written permission. When we foresee exceeding our quoted timeframe we will inform you and whether you are happy to continue.
First hour free
Practical support, without pressure
I offer the first hour free because I genuinely want to help families understand what they are facing, what documents may be needed, and what practical steps come next.
French succession matters can feel overwhelming, especially when you are dealing with notaires, documents, translations, tax forms and property issues from the UK. A short conversation is often enough to point you in the right direction.
I cannot take many hours out of each day for free, but I also do not want people paying before they know whether my experience is useful to them. If, after the free first hour, you feel further help would be valuable, any additional support can then be agreed and billed clearly before we continue.
My standard rate
£40/ hour
Billed in 30-minute increments

If your matter is complex or likely to take a significant amount of time, I will always discuss this with you upfront.
